aceKarl Arao, Enkitec Presentation

Karl Arao is an OCP-DBA, RHCE, and Oracle ACE. He works for Enkitec as a senior technical consultant where he currently spends most of his time exploring on Exadata capacity planning and performance. Prior to that, Karl went to work for SQL*Wizard as a solutions architect and an R&D guy where he had his five years of solid DBA experience including proactive database maintenance, database installation and configuration for high availability and disaster recovery, migration and upgrades, backup and recovery, database hardening, capacity planning, and performance tuning. He shares his experiences, adventures, and discoveries in his blog (karlarao.wordpress.com), he tweets at @karlarao, and owns a Wiki site (karlarao.tiddlyspot.com) where he shares his quick guides and documentations on technologies. Chip Briggs, Independent Researcher Presentation

Chip Briggs began his professional career as an MVS systems programmer taking care of complex mainframe computers so other people could do their work. Chip has been using Oracle since 1995 (version 6). His Oracle experience started with providing application support for a vendor product and grew to include production database administration on Unix and Windows NT/2000/XP/2003. Along the way, Chip became an Oracle Certified Professional DBA for Oracle 7.3, 8, 8i, 9i, and 10g, an Oracle Certified SQL Expert, and has presented at several Oracle user groups.

Karen Cannell, TH Technology Presentation

Karen Cannell is director of TH Technology, an Oracle services consulting firm. She has analyzed, designed, developed, converted, enhanced, and otherwise tweaked database applications for more than twenty-five years, focusing on Oracle since 1994. Recent projects include design and development of APEX web applications for quality control, ETL and migration of legacy apps to Web technologies, leveraging the Oracle 10g/11g suite of tools. Jean-Pierre Dijcks is a senior principal product manager in Oracle’s Data Warehousing group focusing on big data. After earning a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, Jean-Pierre joined Oracle Netherlands as a data warehouse consultant working on data warehouse implementations throughout Europe. Mark Drake, Oracle Corporation Presentation

Mark Drake has over twenty years' experience in the information technology industry, having worked as programmer, analyst, and database administrator, before moving into consulting and product management. Oracle ACE Mark W. Farnham is a native of Dunkirk, NY where he attended public schools and enjoyed the rich musical and farming heritage of Chautauqua County. After graduating with a dual major in physics and biology from Dartmouth College in 1977, Mark became interested in computer science and database technology. Mark began using Oracle at DTSS in the late 1980’s and helped Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse move from DTSS to Unix and Oracle from 1989 to 1994. Mark was one of the founders of the OAUG and participated in Oracle’s VLDB group and MOSES. In 1994, Mark co-founded Rightsizing, Inc. with Jerry Ireland where Mark continues as president to this day. Rightsizing helps businesses make smart use of Oracle technology and Mark often is called upon when high throughput and massive migrations are involved. Mark is a frequent contributor to oracle-l and is proud to be a member of the OakTable Network (http://www.oaktable.net) and co-founder of the APPSPERF consortium (http://www.appsperf.org ). Mark continues his service to the OAUG as a board member of the OAUG DBSIG and was awarded the OAUG Lifetime Service Award in 2010. Mark's written papers on performance began in 1981 when he developed a pruning algorithm to solve best fits of piecewise linear regressions by excluding large ranges of the potential solution space early. Mark's public speaking on Oracle performance began at the 1990 IOUW in Anaheim, CA, speaking on managing many databases on many disk drives. Doug Gault, Sumneva Presentation

Doug Gault (Oracle ACE) is a director and co-founder at Sumneva™, a world-class Oracle® Application Express (APEX) consulting, training, and solutions firm founded in 2010. He has been working with Oracle since 1988 starting with version 5.1B, SQL*Forms 2.0, and RPT/RPF. Since then he has focused his career on Oracle's development technologies, spending the last decade on Web-based technologies, and the last five years specifically on APEX. Prior to co-founding Sumneva, Doug was vice president of Sumner Technologies, which also focused on Oracle APEX consulting, training, and solutions. Marco Gralike, working for AMIS Services BV as a principal Oracle database consultant in the Netherlands, has experience as a DBA since 1994 (Oracle 6). Marco is also eager and skillful in other fields, like operating system administration and application servers, mainly to find working, performing solutions. Marco has been specializing in Oracle XMLDB since 2003, focusing on his old love--database administration and performance. He has been an Oracle XMLDB enthusiast ever since. He is also a dedicated contributor of the Oracle User Group community, helping people with their steep XMLDB learning curve. To this purpose, Marco also devoted his personal blog site to XMLDB and other Oracle issues. Marco has presented among others in Holland, UKOUG, Oracle OpenWorld, Hotsos, MOW, and ODTUG Kaleidoscope. Janis Griffin, Confio Software Presentation

Eric Hernandez, DARC Presentation

With about fifteen years of Apps DBA experience, Eric Hernandez has become very well versed and knowledgeable in Oracle Applications E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Database technologies for large-scale enterprises as well as the SMB marketplace. Being with a previous managed services employer that had over fifty EBS customers, Eric was exposed to different ways EBS can be setup and configured. The opportunity to experience a simple EBS setup to the most advanced and complex EBS configuration allowed him to solidify his proficiency in Oracle Apps. Ann Horton, Oracle Corporation Presentation

Ann Horton works for Oracle Corporation in Denver, and serves as the Oracle liaison to RMOUG. She is currently a Fusion Applications developer building Procurement Applications using ADF and the Oracle Fusion technology stack. Previously, Ann worked as a consultant with Oracle's Advanced Technology Services Group specializing in Fusion Middleware, JDeveloper, ADF, SOA, and Oracle Enterprise Manager. Scott Spendolini is a director and co-founder at Sumneva™, a world-class Oracle® Application Express (APEX) consulting, training, and solutions firm founded in 2010. He has assisted a number of clients from various verticals with their Oracle APEX development and training needs. Scott has presented at a number of Oracle-related conferences, including Oracle OpenWorld, ODTUG, and IOUG and is a regular contributor to the Oracle APEX Forums on OTN. Scott is also the host and conference chair of APEXposed, an APEX-specific annual conference. He is a recent recipient of the Oracle ACE Director designation and is also a co-author of the book "Pro Oracle Application Express." In 2009, Scott along with ODTUG, was presented with the Oracle Innovation Award for his work on ODTUG’s public Web site, odtug.com.
